Exeter’s Murdock 11th in NYC track; Bishop Guertin’s McCabe 13th


Exeter High School junior Shannon Murdock finished 11th in the girls’ championship mile Sunday at the New Balance National Indoor Track Championships at the Armory in New York City.

Murdock’s time was 4 minutes, 57.03 seconds, more than 13 seconds better than her time last year of 5:10.83, when she finished 20th.

Also on Sunday, Bishop Guertin of Nashua’s Molly McCabe placed 13th in the 800 meters, with a time of 3:13.11.

Saturday night, Bedford’s Keelan McCoole competed in the high jump, but did not qualify for the finals.
