Nashua teen charged with robbery
NASHUA -; Police arrested a 15-year-old boy they say threatened to hit a local convenience store clerk with a bottle in an attempt to rob the Lock Street store.
The teen, who is being detained at a state facility pending a hearing in juvenile court, was arrested about 9 p.m. Sunday.
Police said the teen tried to get an A & P Market clerk to open the cash register by threatening to hit the employee with a bottle. Police went to the store after receiving a 911 hang-up call.
Investigators said the teen also was involved in an altercation earlier in the day at a Nashua residence. That involved people he knew and brass knuckles, according to police.
He is charged with robbery, a class B felony, and carrying or selling weapons, a class A misdemeanor.
