Police investigating possible stabbing of man, 22, on Lake Avenue

Police are investigating a possible stabbing of a 22-year-old man Monday morning just before 8 o'clock on Lake Avenue. A half-dozen police cruisers and one unmarked detectives' car were parked in the area of 478 Lake Ave., a two-family clapboard sided home, which was cordoned off with yellow police tape. (PAT GROSSMITH/UNION LEADER)

MANCHESTER – Police are on the scene of a possible stabbing at 478 Lake Ave., Monday morning, with the driveway of a home cordoned off with police tape.
Manchester Police spokesman Brian O'Keefe said police are actively investigating a "possible stabbing" at the location.
According to a statement from police, several patrol units responded to the area just before 8 a.m. for a reported assault/possible stabbing. The 22-year-old victim was taken to the Elliot Hospital for his undisclosed wounds received as a result of an assault, according to O'Keefe. Detectives responded to the scene to investigate further.
Six Manchester police cruisers were at the location shortly after 8 a.m., and six police officers were in the driveway of the single family home.
