Snowmobiler injured in Millsfield accident

ERROL - A 20-year-old Berlin woman was injured Saturday when the snowmobile she was driving went off a trail and struck several trees.
N.H Fish and Game conservation officers said the accident happened about 1:30 p.m. Megan Hood of Berlin was travelling north on snowmobile corridor 110 in Millsfield when she failed to negotiate a left-hand turn and went off the trail, striking multiple trees, according to a release.
Errol Fire and Rescue transported Hood out of the woods to the Errol Ambulance, which transported her to the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook. She was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, but it appears inexperience was a contributing factor, authorities said.
