State representative from Dover resigns

DOVER — A first-term state representative from Dover has resigned his seat after accepting a job with the state.

Kerry Vinson in the office of the N.H. House Speaker confirmed on Thursday that Greg Burdwood, a first-term Democrat from Dover, resigned his position effective March 5, after accepting a job with the state's Department of Health and Human Services.

Burdwood could not be reached for comment Thursday afternoon.

Burdwood’s seat will remain vacant until a replacement is elected during an election next November.
