Dartmouth-Hitchcock receives $10 million donation for hospice care

LEBANON - A $10 million gift will fund a visionary palliative and hospice care center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, the medical center announced Thursday.The $10 million gift was made anonymously and is the largest the medical center has received in its history.The donation is to be used to create an advanced clinical facility to provide integrated, patient and family-centered care for patients with life-threatening illness and complex medical needs.The Center for Palliative and Hospice Care would combine the latest thinking and techniques to advance interdisciplinary patient and family-centered, care, while offering unprecedented opportunities for teaching, training, and research for health care providers and clinicians in training from across the country, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center said in the announcement.
