Tree damages Goffstown car, building
GOFFSTOWN — A tree limb felled by Wednesday evening's strong winds crushed a car and damaged an apartment complex on Maple Street, fire Lt. Mark Lemay said.
Lemay said a roughly 40-foot-long, 14-inch-diameter limb snapped off a tree and fell onto a 2005 Chevrolet and onto the roof of the neighboring apartment building. Nobody was injured, he said.
"The car is totaled," he said.
The tree punctured several holes in the roof, which the building's manager and firefighters covered with a tarp, he said.
He said the limb narrowly missed power lines.
