NASHUA — A grand jury has indicted a Lawrence, Mass., man on two charges of first-degree assault for allegedly causing multiple injuries to a baby in Nashua.
Enrique Santiago, 21, last year allegedly squeezed the 2-month old so hard that the baby's ribs were broken, according to a Hillsborough County Superior Court South indictment.
Santiago is also charged with striking the baby in the head on Dec. 26 with a computer tablet that was in a pillow case. The blow caused the baby to suffer bilateral subdural hemorrhaging, according to the indictment.
The indictment was handed up earlier this month.
