Manchester's Green Acres Elementary School to celebrate 50th year

MANCHESTER — Green Acres Elementary School has scheduled a party on May 15 to celebrate its 50th year teaching students in east Manchester.

The school is inviting alumni, past faculty and everyone from the Green Acres community to attend.

The open house is scheduled for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

A planning committee has set up a Green Acres 50th Birthday page on Facebook and is looking for memorabilia to display the evening of the party.

Photos, yearbooks, class T-shirts and any other history over the years would be welcome and should be dropped off at the school during school hours.
