While the names of registered sex offenders are public information and available online, this new map-driven public safety content offered by Ping4 Inc. makes the information easily available with the touch of a screen, said Kyla Natali, public relations manager for Ping4 Inc.
With the touch of a screen, users will be able to view a map-driven interface indicating where a sex offender lives, their name, physical description, offenses and criminal record.
"For a lot of people, this information really resonates with them," said MacDonald, who worries about his own children walking to and from the bus stop. "People like to know these details and this type of information."
In this day and age, it is critical to arm yourself with information, said Natali, who says she is concerned about minor restrictions on where sex offenders can reside in New Hampshire. Currently, Level 2 and Level 3 sex offenders are included in the feature.
