'Women and Investing' workshops launched

CONCORD - The New Hampshire Bureau of Securities Regulation has launched a new series of workshops on the theme of "Women and Investing."

The program will provide investor education that addresses the unique financial challenges faced by women at various stages of their professional and personal lives.

The first, two-part session is scheduled for April 17 and 24 at the Centennial Senior Center, 254 North State St., Concord, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on both dates.

Registration is required by April 10. There is no charge for admission, but space is limited.

The Securities Bureau is available to work with local groups to offer free workshops throughout the state. Resources include information sheets on what to think about and how to get organized, guest speaker presentations on investment fraud, information on where to get additional help, and detailed product and estate planning materials designed to assist women in planning for their financial future.

"The initiative is designed for women of all ages, including those facing significant life and financial transitions, said Barry Glennon, director of the bureau.
