NH College Roundup: SNHU baseball team tops St. Anselm

Starter Mike Robert of Nashua and relievers Zach Zona and Lucas Olen combined on a four-hitter to lead 11th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University to its fifth straight win, 10-2, over rival St. Anselm College Tuesday at Penmen Field.
The Penmen (22-7 overall, 10-3 in the Northeast-10) were led offensively by Al Stanton with three hits and two RBIs.

Manny Cruz, Mike Mastroberti and Alejandro Diaz each had two hits in the win. Brendan O'Brien remained perfect on the season in steals this season. He swiped his 27th and 28th bases, giving him 100 in his career.

Robert pitched a one-hitter over six innings, fanning five and walking no one. Zona gave up both runs on two hits and Olen pitched the last two scoreless innings.

Riley Palmer of Goffstown belted his fourth homer of the season for SNHU.

Dan Lagasse smacked a two-run homer for the 9-19 Hawks.

St. Anselm plays at Franklin Pierce today at 3:30 p.m.

Women's lacrosse

St. Anselm 15, SNHU 8: At Larkin Field, the 9-1 Hawks beat the 2-9 Penmen thanks to Marissa Daly with six goals.

Caitlin Villareal had three goals and two assists, and Michelle Kudlate had two goals and assists for the Hawks.

Emily King led the Penmen offense with two goals. Lindsay Bucknam of Bow added a goal and an assist.

Phoebe Clark of Concord also scored for SNHU.
