Customs Made

One of the most beloved musicals of all time, Fiddler on the Roof, will be performed this weekend at the Newport Opera House. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof has touched audiences around the world with its humor, warmth and honesty. Telling the tale of Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his cultural and Jewish religious traditions as each daughter moves farther away from those customs, the story reaches everyone. The universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness. Tickets are $12 and $16.
