Rollinsford and Milton police continue to investigate sexual assault case

BRYAN BROWN

MILTON – Area police arrested a local man who they say sexually assaulted a girl who was reported missing in Rollinsford earlier this month.

Bryan Brown, 27, of 32 Brown Road, was charged with felonious sexual assault. The girl, who is under the age of 16, was reported missing in Rollinsford April 4.

After hearing from Rollinsford police, Milton officers checked Brown’s residence and found the girl the following day. She was returned to Rollinsford and investigators learned the girl had been sexually assaulted at the residence, according to police.

As a result of the joint investigation, a warrant was issued and Brown was taken into custody. While he was initially held after his arrest, Brown was released on $5,000 cash or corporate surety over the weekend, according to Police Chief Richard Krauss.

“The investigation is still ongoing so at this point it is too early to say if there will be more charges,” Krauss said.
