History comes alive in Images of Greatness in Londonderry

LONDONDERRY — Parents and staff at Londonderry North Elementary School hobnobbed with some of history's most famous faces Wednesday evening during the school's annual Images of Greatness assembly.

About 20 fourth-graders participated in the project, according to Principal Mary Coltin.

Each child spent the past month or so researching their character and perfecting their costumes and props, portraying such figures as Albert Einstein, Mother Teresa, Nadia Comaneci and Jackie Robinson.

Audience members had the chance to guess the identities of each costumed character, with each student approaching the podium to share a brief biography they wrote.

Following the assembly, guests were invited to check out each student's display, highlighting each character's role in history.
