Maine man arrested for allegedly giving tattoos to Somersworth teens

BERWICK, Maine — After searching an Allen Street residence, area police arrested a man who allegedly tattooed three teenage boys from Somersworth, N.H., in March.

Robert "Robbie" C. Corson, 25, of 45 Allen St., was charged with being a felon in possession of firearms, placing tattoos on persons under the age of 18 and felony possession of heroin

A joint investigation began after the school resource officer at Somersworth High School learned about the matter, which involved three boys — one age 15 and two age 16 — March 6, according to Somersworth Police Capt. Russ Timmons.

Police did not release the identities of the teens.

Timmons said the information was shared with Berwick police and Somersworth officers helped obtain a search warrant March 27. He added all of the charges were filed in Maine.

"Corson is a known drug user with significant criminal history," according to a release by Berwick police.

Following the lengthy joint investigation, police arrested Corson April 7 just before noon at his home — where the teens allegedly received their tattoos.

"This is another step, in recent weeks, in charging people committing criminal acts to include the unlawful possession of illegal drugs in the Town of Berwick," according to the release.

Corson remains held on $1,060 cash at York County Jail in Alfred, Maine.

He also faces several other charges from previous matters, including three counts of unlawful possession of drugs, violating conditions of release and operating without a valid license. He is scheduled to appear in York County Superior Court in Alfred May 15 at 9 a.m., according to court records.

Anyone with more information about the case or who notices suspicious activities is encouraged to contact Berwick Police Detective William Russell by phone at (207) 698-1136 or via e-mail at w.russell@berwickpd.org.
