Chester teen suffers serious injuries in dirt bike accident

CHESTER — A teen from Chester suffered a serious leg injury after losing control of a dirt bike in a wooded area along Route 121 Saturday.
According to New Hampshire Fish and Game officers, a male teen, 15, from Chester, and a friend were riding dirt bikes on private property in a wooded area along Route 121 around 8:15 a.m. in Chester when he lost control of the bike, suffering what was termed as a serious injury to a leg. He was transported by ambulance to Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
Personnel from the Chester Police and Fire Departments, along with an ambulance from Derry, responded to the scene.
Conservation officers from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department are investigating the cause of the crash. Initial information indicates the injured youth was wearing a helmet and protective goggles at the time of the incident.
