Flooding shuts down North Country highways

Two state highways in northern New Hampshire have been closed because of flooding, according to state on-line reports.

Route 3 in North Stratford in closed near Kimble Brook because of flooding, according to the Transportation Management Center.

In Colebrook, portions of Route 26 are closed in both directions because of road surface collapse and road washout. The state DOT has urged motorists to seek alternative routes. The notices were posted before 7 p.m.
