Teen ejected in Candia rollover
CANDIA – A local teen was transported to an area hospital early Wednesday with what police called serious non-life-threatening injuries after a single-car accident.
According to Sgt. Scott Gallagher, the 17-year-old female was driving a 2003 Kia sedan on Old Candia Road shortly after 8 a.m. when a witness said she hit a patch of ice on the side of the road.
"It appears the ice caused the driver to lose control and hit a barrier that resulted in the vehicle being overturned and the driver ejected," said Gallagher.
Though there was no update on the driver's condition as of Wednesday afternoon, Gallagher said it appears she suffered potentially serious internal injuries.
