Serious Concord crash injures Mass. woman

CONCORD – A Massachusetts woman was seriously injured Wednesday evening after the car she was driving struck a tree on Currier Road near Shenandoah Drive.

Concord police said Melissa S. Gildersleeve, 28, was taken to Concord Hospital with life-threatening injuries after the 9 p.m. crash. Police say speed may have been a factor in the crash.

A 25-year-old male passenger who was not identified by police was able to get out of the car on his own before police arrived. He was also taken to Concord Hospital for what police are calling non-life-threatening injuries.

Concord police are investigating the accident and ask anyone with information to call them at 225-8600.
