Tori Dubois highlighted a three-run eighth-inning rally with a two-run homer to lead Bishop Guertin of Nashua to an 8-5 Division I softball decision over Exeter Thursday.

Keala Eichhols staked Exeter to an early lead with a three-run first-inning homer. Teammate Julia Fieldsend had two hits for the Blue Hawks. Dubois led BG’s 12-hit attack with four hits and Gina Pustizzi add three more.

Boys’ lacrosse

Bishop Brady 8, Pembroke 5: In Pembroke, freshman Glenn Dion and junior Zach Blye had a goal and assist for Pembroke. Kam Anderson had two goals. and Nick Serafin scored one goal.




Souhegan 16, Salem 3: In Salem, the 2-0 Sabers defeated the 0-2 Blue Devils thanks to one goal and seven assists from Mack Walker, and four goals and one assist from Mitch Hale. Brendan Cray collected three goals in the win and teammates Joe Nutting and Trevor Barrett each had two goals. Chayce Horton, Blake Burnley, Zach Bossi, Jack Rives and Mike Hayden each had one goal. Souhegan goalies Nick King, Alex Burnley and Alex Maresco combined for five saves. James Harris, Matt Ayotte and Oliver Ouellette each scored for Salem.




Derryfield 13, Kennett 0: In Manchester, Grant Alenson tallied five goals and Jim O’Brien collected five assists in the season opener for the Cougars, the defending Division III champs.

Mike Chiasson had four goals and one assist while Tyler Zorn (two assists), Griffin Phaneuf (one assist), Lee Sites and Matt Dubreuil each tallied once. Drew Johnson had one assist and Derryfield goalie Allen Mello turned back five shots.




Manchester Central 14, Manchester Memorial 1: At Chabot-McDonough Field, Jackson McCormack collected four goals and two assists for the 1-2 Little Green. Connor Rowley scored four times and Julio Rincon garnered two goals and two assists. Mark Beirne, Niko Kacavas and Ross Lougee each had one goal and one assist. Logan Howe scored once and Zach Elliot added one assist. Central goalie Myles Myrdek had seven saves and Memorial netminder Kyle VandeBogart added six saves.

Memorial’s lone goal was scored by Tintle McIntyre.




Bishop Guertin 18, Exeter 12: On Wednesday in Exeter, the Cardinals received five goals and three assists from Connor Donahue to defeat the Blue Hawks.

Tom Hurley added four goals and a helper, John Miller had three goals and an assist, and Alex Astarita registered a goal and three assists. Tim Hinrichs added two goals for BG, which broke open a close game with eight goals in the third quarter.

Girls’ lacrosse

Goffstown 19, Spaulding 6: In Rochester, Goffstown (1-1) defeated Spaulding (0-2) thanks to four goals from McKenzie Chu and Anne Steckowych. Sydney Gagnon and Lexi Foster each had three goals. Bri Proulx and Sydney Dubois each contributed two goals and Alyssa Bourque had one.

Baseball

Wilton-Lyndeborough 8, Derryfield School 2: In Wilton, Pat Martin led the winners (2-0) with two hits. Derryfield (0-2) was led by Sawyer Strong, with three hits, and Kyle Slevira, with two.Bishop Guertin 7, Exeter 0: In Nashua, BG starter Jason Ferlan allowed four hits over six innings. He allowed two walks and fanned nine on 95 pitches. BG’s eight-hit attack was led by Matt Tierney with three RBIs. He had a two-run single in the sixth inning.

The Cardinals improved to 2-0, while Exeter dropped to 2-1.

Londonderry 10, Manchester Memorial 9: Rob Del Signore drove in four runs on three hits to lead the Lancers to their eighth inning win. Colby Joncas contributed two hits to the winning cause. Memorial trailed early, 7-0, but battled back with six seventh inning runs to tie the game at 9-9.
