Trio charged in contractor robbery arraigned
Frank Walton, 25, of Raymond, John Ahern, 23, of Epping, and Charley Ann Martin, 24, of Raymond, were arraigned in 10th Circuit Court, Candia Division, on Monday for a variety of charges related to the April 16 robbery.
Walton and Martin remained held at the Rockingham County jail in Brentwood. A judge set their bail at $5,000 cash or surety and $10,000 cash or surety, respectively.
Police said the trio solicited the contractor through Craigslist and asked him to come to the home for a work estimate.
The search for the three suspects prompted police to notify Raymond High School so it could be put in "a secure state," police said. Police located the suspects within 40 minutes after a search behind the home and near the high school.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
The robbery charges are Class A felonies, punishable by up to 7 ½ to 15 years in state prison. The remaining charges are all Class B felonies, punishable by up to 3 ½ to 7 years in state prison.
