April 22. 2014 12:07AM

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats scored three runs in the 14th inning to outlast the New Britain Rock Cats, 7-4, Monday night in Eastern League play at New Britain Stadium in Connecticut.

Kenny Wilson singled to lead off the inning and scored on Jon Berti's double to left. Berti advanced to third on a wild pitch and, with one out, scored on Brad Glenn's sacrifice fly to make it 6-4. Ryan Schimpf followed with a double, went to third on a wild pitch, and scored when Andy Burns reached on a throwing error by New Britain pitcher Adrian Salcedo for the final run.

Gregory Infante worked around a two-out error to earn the save for New Hampshire (6-9).

New Britain had a 4-1 lead after four innings. Daniel Ortiz scored on a Kennys Vargas single in the first, Nate Hanson hit a solo homer in the third, Ortiz singled home Brandon Waring in the fourth, and Tony Thomas scored on a wild pitch in the fourth to account for the Rock Cats' scoring.

Glenn, who drove in three runs, homered in the second to put New Hampshire on the board. He homered again, another solo shot, in the sixth. Mike Crouse, who walked, scored in the fifth when Berti doubled and New Britain botched the relay on the throw home. And Glenn scored the tying run in the eighth on a Vargas fielding error at first base.

Scott Copeland started for the Fisher Cats and allowed all four runs in 4 2/3 innings. Five New Hampshire relievers shut the door after that, throwing 9 1/3 innings of shutout ball. Scott Gracey (1-1) pitched a scoreless 13th inning and earned the win.

Salcedo (0-2) took the loss for New Britain (4-11).

The teams play again Tuesday night at 6:35 p.m. Casey Lawrence starts for New Hampshire. New Britain has yet to announce its starter.
