Mass. man indicted on kidnapping, sexual assault charges
Kaylee Solano, 21, of Windham, previously spoke with the New Hampshire Union Leader about her alleged abduction, maintaining she tried to obtain a restraining order three days before the kidnapping, but it was denied by a judge at the 9th Circuit Court, Derry District Division...According to newly filed court documents in Nashua, Osherov allegedly kidnapped Solano with a gun, held her hostage at a city motel, tied her up and repeatedly sexually assaulted her.
“I knew, eventually, that something was going to happen to me,” Solano told the Union Leader shortly after the kidnapping. “I had such a bad feeling. I felt like he was planning something.”..Just prior to the abduction, Osherov allegedly called Solano's phone about 120 times in a three-day period, while also sending her more than 70 texts, according to a court petition. Solano is the mother of Osherov's 18-month-old son. She was granted emergency custody of the baby last October after Osherov allegedly took the child without Solano's permission...Solano filed for an order of domestic violence petition, or a restraining order, on Jan. 24 - three days before the kidnapping - at the Derry court.
That petition was denied. The case was dismissed by Judge Lucinda Sadler, who stated in her ruling that the request “does not rise to the level required by statute as to imminent threat,” according to court documents...The new indictments allege that Osherov told Solano that he would release her from the Motel 6 on Progress Avenue in Nashua if she submitted to sexual intercourse. However, Solano repeatedly told Osherov “please stop,” while he allegedly confined her to the room “with a purpose to terrorize her” and “to hold her as a hostage,” according to court records...Authorities were tipped off about the kidnapping and eventually spotted Solano's vehicle at the city motel. Osherov had barricaded the room; a police crisis negotiation team and a special reaction team were activated...Solano previously credited police negotiators for aiding in a successful outcome, saying they were able to calm Osherov, wear him down and get him to eventually let her go.
