NHIAA Roundup: Pinkerton girls’ lacrosse team tops Windham

The Pinkerton Academy girls’ lacrosse team scored seven unanswered goals in the second half to pull away from upstart Windham and post a 17-12 victory at Windham on Wednesday.

Aleah McKay scored six goals for the Astros, who improved to 4-0 in Division I. Pinkerton received three goals from Erin Coutts, and two goals and three assists from Kennedy Daziel.

Mellisa Cino collected three goals and two assists for Windham, which dropped to 2-1 in Division II.

Boys’ Lacrosse

Central 9, Nashua South 6: At Manchester, Jackson McCormack, Julio Rincon and Mark Birne each scored two goals as Central improved to 2-2. Logan Pachecho, Niko Kacavas and Ross Lougee also scored for the Little Green. Max Serra, Collin Morrow and Russell Applegate each had two goal for South, which fell to 1-2.
Londonderry 11, Concord 4: At Concord, Nick Yennaco had four goals and two assists to lead the Londonderry offense. Kyle Hussey added two goals for the Lancers, who received 10 saves from Eric Kenison.


Bishop Guertin 14, Londonderry 1: At Nashua, Quinn DiPasquale and Joe Meli each hit a grand slam to help BG beat Londonderry by the 10-run rule in five innings. Catcher Colby Joncas collected the only hit against BG starting pitcher Jason Ferlan. BG improved its record to 3-2. Londonderry dropped to 4-1.
Goffstown 7, Pembroke 1: In Goffstown, Tyler Perron collected two hits and three RBIs in the win. Perron threw a complete game, allowing two hits and fanning nine. Chris Hood also had two hits for 3-1 Goffstown. Chris Gauss had 2 hits for 1-3 Pembroke.
Pinkerton 9, Spaulding 2: In Derry, Pinkerton (3-2) beat Spaulding (2-3) behind a complete game performance from Chris Gerossie, who allowed two runs on four hits. He fanned six. Nate Rossi contributed two hits and two RBIs. Tom Diskin added two hits and one RBI. Gerossie had three RBIs including a two-run homer.
Bishop Guertin 10, Londonderry 8: At Londonderry, Tori Dubois’ three-run triple in the seventh inning carried BG (3-1) to the win. Colleen Lewis led the Lancers (2-2) with two hits including a two-run homer and four RBIs.

Raymond 5, Pelham 4: At Raymond, the Rams scored three unearned runs to raise their record to 2-1. Jordan Parece had three hits for Pelham (2-2), which received two-hit games from Sarah Ratcliffe and Kelsey Grimard.
Spaulding 5, Pinkerton 2: In Rochester, winning pitcher Sami West hurled a complete game five-hitter. Natalie Fabrizio had two hits for Pinkerton and teammates Rachel Byrd and Candace Moore each drove in a run.
Central 14, Keene 2: In Keene, Central pitcher Sarah Lavallee struck out 11 batters and allowed three hits in five innings. Kim Leiter and Victoria Krideras each drove in two runs for Central. Kindred St. Germain and Krideras led a 16-hit attack with three hits apiece followed by Leiter, Colleen O’Hara and Emma Conant with two hits.
Concord 16, Manchester Memorial 4: Heather Mak had three hits including a solo homer in the loss for Memorial. Mackenzie Collins (solo homer) and Lejla Kosic had two hits apiece. The Crusaders committed five errors.
