Phaneuf leads Derryfield laxers past Pelham

Griffin Phaneuf scored four goals and teammate Grant Alenson added three goals and one assist to lead Derryfield School of Manchester past Pelham 14-2 in a boys' lacrosse contest Tuesday in Manchester. Mike Chiasson (three goals, one assist), Drew Johnson (two goals), Jimmy O'Brien (one goal, two assists), and Lee Sites (one goal, one assist) contributed to the win for the 2-0 Cougars. Derryfield netminder Allen Mello had 10 saves. Dustin Lubinger and Harley Kearney each scored for Pelham. Pelham fell to 1-2.
Baseball
Portsmouth 10, Souhegan 5: In Amherst on Monday, Portsmouth pitcher James Haslam fanned 13 batters in six innings. Souhegan's offense was led by Thomas Bennett with three hits.
The Clippers had 14 hits, led by Max Allen with four hits.
Softball
Goffstown 8, ConVal 2: At Goffstown on Monday, Goffstown pitcher Haeli Campbell allowed two runs on three hits. Campbell fanned 10 batters. Nicole Nanof had a two-run homer for Goffstown and Jenna Indingaro added a solo blast.
Boys' lacrosse
Bishop Guertin 18, Concord 6: In Concord on Monday, Tom Hurley led BG with five goals and Charlie O'Brien had four.
Girls' lacrosse
Londonderry 22, Concord 10: Alexa Bedell led the Lancers with three goals and four assists.
