Fugitive nabbed as he checks out the weather

CONCORD — Patrick David Lord, 45, wanted on a federal warrant for violating supervised release on aggravated theft and associated convictions, was arrested Thursday, a day after he was featured as the Fugitive of the Week.

Lord, last known to live in the Concord and Manchester areas, was arrested at a hotel in Bow by members of the N.H. Joint Fugitive Task Force. As the officers were preparing to enter the hotel room, Lord came out to "check the weather" and was arrested without incident, according to the U.S. Marshal's Office.

Law enforcement officers went to the hotel after receiving telephone tips that Lord was possibly staying at a local hotel. Fugitive task force members canvassed hotels in the Concord and Bow areas, locating him at the Bow hotel, which officials did not identify in a news release.

This arrest was made by deputy U.S. Marshals and a task force officer from the Greenfield Police Department.

Lord was transported to U.S. District Court for processing. He was being detained pending his initial court appearance there later on Thursday.
