HOOKSETT — A Manchester man was apprehended this week and turned over to Hooksett police on charges he exposed himself on multiple occasions to a 19-year-old Southern New Hampshire University student.

The most recent incident, according to police, occurred on April 5, when 30-year-old Erick Janiak allegedly showed his genitals to the female victim. Several similar instances had been reported to campus police dating back to late 2012. The most recent incident was also reported to Hooksett police.

Janiak was arrested by Manchester police on a warrant on April 21 and was handed over to Hooksett investigators, who charged him with two counts of indecent exposure for the two most recent incidents. He was also charged with stalking.

Hooksett Police Sgt. Janet Bouchard said Janiak couldn’t be charged with other similar crimes because the statute of limitations had expired on those alleged events. He was released on $6,000 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear at the 6th Circuit Court in Hooksett on May 21.
