Penmen, FPU tweak baseball schedules

Due to the local forecast of rain Saturday, the baseball teams at Southern New Hampshire University and Franklin Pierce University have altered their weekend schedules.

Instead of playing a doubleheader today, the Penmen will host Stonehill College in a single game at 7 p.m., then play Stonehill in a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 2 p.m.

The Penmen are 31-11 overall and 13-4 in the Northeast-10 Northeast Division, two games back of league-leading Bentley University (19-11, 11-2). The Skyhawks sit fourth in the division at 8-5 and 23-15 overall, with four teams from each division qualifying for the Northeast-10 Championship.

Similarly, FPU will eschew a doubleheader today in favor of a single game today at 4 p.m. at Pappas Field in Rindge against Bentley. Then the Ravens will host Falcons in a twin bill on Sunday at 1 p.m.
