Nashua bridal dress event to benefit veterans

NASHUA - Harbor Homes is sponsoring Vows for Vets, a bridal dress event, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 18, in the Crowne Plaza Hotel grand ballroom.

All of the proceeds from the sale of the dresses will be donated to Harbor Homes' Veterans FIRST programs, housing and services for homeless veterans and their families.

Brides-to-be may set up an appointment with a wedding dress consultant for an advance look at the gowns. For an appointment or for more information, call Harbor Homes at 882-3616 ext. 1242.

Harbor Homes says the large collection of new, one-of-a-kind, designer gowns will be for sale at dramatically reduced prices, some up to 70 percent of the retail price.

It recommends women come dressed in comfortable clothes, so they can easily slip into gowns because the event will be similar to the famous Filene's Basement's "Running of the Bride" wedding dress sale.
