NHIAA Roundup: Fredericks paces John Stark lacrosse win

Brody Fredericks scored four goals and added two assists to lead John Stark of Weare to a 9-5 boys’ lacrosse win against Windham in Weare Wednesday.
Matt Richard collected two goals and three assists and James Smugereski added two goals in the win. Jake Blanchette had one goal and Colbey Decotis added an assist for the Generals.

The defense was led by Cooper Bourque and Ben Nichol in front of winning goalie August Colburn with 10 saves.
Goffstown 15, Bow 6: On Tuesday, Steve Dubois scored four goals, Brad Chapdelain had three and Jack Carney and Sam Shearin had two each to lead the 4-1 Grizzlies. Carney had four assists. Bow dropped to 2-1.
ConVal 13, Laconia 12: In Laconia on Tuesday, Riordan McCole scored five goals and added four assists. He found J.T. Clough alone near the crease for the game-winner. Isaiah Taylor also led the winners with six goals and one assist.

Girls’ lacrosse

Bishop Guertin 16, Nashua North 3: Caley Prunier scored fouur agoals and Kyra Lowenberg and Averi Farhat had three each to lead the Cardinals, who are 7-0. Farhat added four assists and Prunier had three. Nashua North fell to 5-3.
Bishop Brady 7, ConVal 3: On Tuesday, Meghan Close, Zoe Paige and Ingrid Aho each scored once for the Cougars and Lilly Grisafi had five saves.


Pinkerton Academy 5, Concord 4: At Concord, the Astros opened a 5-0 lead through five innings and then held off Concord to improve to 6-2. Chris Gerossie pitched four and a third innings and got the win and John Polichetti earned the save with a perfect inning and two-thirds of relief. Concord is 4-3.
Spaulding 4, Nashua North 3: At Rochester, Ricky Constant allowed four runs on two hits with five walks over four and two-thirds inning and took the loss for the Titans who dropped their fourth straight game and fell to 3-5. Spaulding improved to 5-3 with its third straight win.
 Lebanon 6, Souhegan 3: On Tuesday, the Raiders (4-0) rallied for four runs in the home fourth. Ian Towel took the pitching loss for the 1-5 Sabers.


Concord 8, Pinkerton Academy 4: At Derry, Concord broken open a tie game with four runs in the top of the 13th inning to improve to 4-2. Deb Morrill, Cassidy Emerson and Fran Redlon each had three of Concord’s 16 hits. Rachel Byrd and Nicole Gonya each had three of Pinkerton’s 15 hits. The Astros fell to 4-3.
Sanborn 9, Windham 8: At Kingston, Sanborn scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to get past the Jaguars. Sanborn is 6-1 and Windham fell to 5-2. Rachel Rogers had a three-run home run for Windham in the third inning.
Franklin 21, Kearsarge 1: In Franklin, Kelsey Bird struck out nine batters and allowed three hits in four innings. Lexi Colpack finished with four hits, two RBIs and four runs scored for Franklin. Kat Styles drove in four runs.
Pelham 9, Bishop Brady 1: In Concord, Jordan Parece went the distance and struck out 10 batters. She allowed six hits and walked two. Pelham had nine hits led by Hannah Paitchel with three. She had two doubles. Sarah Ratcliffe added two hits including a solo homer and triple. Parece and Elissa Mogauro each drove in two runs for the Pythons (3-3).
