NHIAA Roundup: Souhegan girls' lacrosse rolls over Nashua South

A varied scoring attack paced the Souhegan of Amherst girls' lacrosse team in an 18-3 win over Nashua South Saturday. Jesse Jay (three goals, four assists), Jocelyn Donohue (three goals, three assists), Madison Learned three goals, two assists), Olivia Durling (three goals, assist), Mickenzie Larivee (two goals, three assists) and Emma Estabrook (two goals, assist) all chipped in for Souhegan (7-2).

South fell to 1-7 and got scoring from Maddie Coughlin (two goals) and Jenny Halloran (goal).

Girls' lacrosse

Hollis-Brookline 20, Manchester Memorial 5: At Hollis Friday, Mariah Passamonte and Holly Eisenberg combined for eight goals and an assist to lead HB (1-4).

Boys' lacrosse

Derryfield 22, Manchester Central 4: At Manchester, Grant Alenson scored three goals and two assists to lead the way for Derryfield (7-0). Mike Chiasson (two goals, four assists), Griffin Phaneuf (five goals), Lee Sites (three goals) and Peter Thompson (three goals) added scoring for the Cougars.

Central (2-7) was paced by Julio Rincon (two goals), Connor Rowley (goal, assist) and Jackson McCormack (goal, assist). Salem 10, Nashua South 9 (OT): At Stellos Stadium in Nashua, Matt Ayotte scored the winning goal in the first minute of overtime to lift the visitors to the win. Salem is now 3-5. South fell to 1-7.

Ayotte had four goals to lead Salem along with Jake Burns (two goals) and Andrew Phillips (two goals). South was led by Russell Applegate (two goals, assist), Josh Perry (two goals) and Jesse Clauss (two goals).Exeter 11, Londonderry 8: At Exeter, the Blue Hawks pulled away in the second half to improve to 6-3. Buddy Carr (four goals, three assists), Jack Carr (two goals, assist), Brad Simas (two goals, assist), Michael Cashman (goal, assist) , Sean Penna (goal, assist) and Isiah Thompson (goal) paced the offense for Exeter.

Londonderry was led by Nick Yanacco (two goals, assist).

Windham 8, Monadnock 1: At Windham Friday, junior Troy Peters scored four goals and added an assist to lead Windham (2-4). Freshman goalie Christian Bassi had 18 saves. Joe Ramano had the Monadnock (3-3) goal. Goffstown 16, Winnacunnet 3: At Hampton Friday, Steve Dubois scored seven goals and two assists to power the Grizzlies (5-1). Jack Carney three goals and four helpers. Winnacunnet fell to 3-3.


Goffstown 8, Milford 3: At Goffstown Friday, the Lady Grizzlies improved to 5-1. Milford dropped to 3-3. Hannah Gifford (2-for-4), Jenna Indingaro (two doubles) and Olivia St. Jean (2-for-3) led the Goffstown offense.
