Upper Valley drug bust nets $29K in heroin

LEBANON — Police seized $29,000 worth of heroin and arrested two men Monday following an investigation into drug dealing in the Upper Valley conducted by police in Lebanon and Enfield.
Shawn Whitlock, 27, of Newark, N.J., was arrested after he was found with 1,450 bags of heroin with an estimated street value of $29,000, police said. He is charged with controlled drugs acts prohibited with intent to distribute, a class A felony. He also is being held as a fugitive from justice on a warrant out of Newark.
Brandon Lemere, 32, of Lebanon, was arrested on a class A felony charge of conspiracy to commit controlled drugs acts prohibited with intent to distribute, a class A felony.
Whitlock is being detained without bail, while Lemere's bail is $10,000 cash, both pending arraignment Tuesday in 2nd Circuit Court, Lebanon District Division.
