Man stabbed in Manchester is recovering after surgery
The victim, whom police did not identify, sustained wounds to the torso that police described as life-threatening. He was in the Masa Steakhouse Restaurant, 1707 S. Willow St., when police arrived at about 7:10 p.m. Monday and was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
Police spokesman Lt. Maureen Tesier Tuesday said preliminary information gathered indicates the victim was a front-seat passenger in a vehicle parked in a nearby lot and was stabbed by the driver after a dispute.
Police would not not say why the victim was in the vehicle, what prompted the dispute or what the relationship was between the two men. Police would only describe the suspect as male, about 5-foot-10, with short black hair and “scruffy” facial hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt and red shorts and was driving an older, dark blue Toyota.
