Mt. Washington College has a new president to go along with its new name.

MANCHESTER — Mount Washington College has a new president to go with its new name.

The board of trustees Wednesday announced that Francis “Frank” Mulgrew has been named president of the college, formerly Hesser College.

Mulgrew most recently served as president of Online Education Institute at Pace University in Waterbury, Conn.

While at Post, Mulgrew helped grow online entrollments from fewer than 200 students in 2006 to the current 15,000 total. Mount Washington has launched a national online program offering associate and bachelor degrees in business administration, accounting and information technology.

The main Mount Washington campus is in Manchester, with satellite locations in Nashua and Salem.

Mulgrew succeeds interim Mt. Washington president Dr. Andrew Temte, The college will hold its commencement May 18.
