Junior Antoine Gisore, of Concord, and freshman Dage Minors of the Franklin Pierce University men’s track and field team have been selected to the NCAA Championships, the NCAA announced Tuesday night. It marks the first two NCAA selections in program history.

The NCAA Championships will be hosted by Grand Valley State and the West Michigan Sports Commission on May 22-24 at the Grand Valley State Track and Field Stadium in Allendale, Mich. Gisore will run in the 1500 meters, while Minors will compete in the 800 meters.

During the season, Gisore’s fastest time in the 1500 was a 3:50.49, which he ran just last week at the New England Championships and ranked 28th in the nation. Minors’ best run in the 800 was a 1:51.24, also last week at New Englands, and ranked 22nd in the country.
