Walpole man charged with DWI following Acworth crash

ACWORTH — After he was hospitalized from a motorcycle crash on Cold Pond Road Tuesday night, a Walpole man was charged with driving while intoxicated, New Hampshire State Police said Thursday.

State police responded to Cold Pond Road Tuesday night at 10:14 p.m. after Cody Brown, 24, of Walpole riding a 2004 Kawasaki at a high rate of speed lost control of the motorcycle and crashed, Sgt. Jason Almstrom said.

Brown suffered facial injuries and was first taken by ambulance to Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont. From there he was air-lifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

After he was hospitalized, police charged him with driving while intoxicated. Brown was released on a summons to appear in the 5th Circuit Court District Division in Claremont on May 19.
