Timberlane vice principal new head of Hampstead Middle School
HAMPSTEAD — A familiar face in the school district has been chosen as the new Hampstead Middle School principal.
The Hampstead School Board selected Maria Di Nola, currently a Timberlane Regional High School assistant principal, as the middle school’s new principal.
“Mrs. Di Nola’s educational experience is exclusive in the sense that she has served students of all levels, elementary for three years, middle school for five years, and high school for nine,” said Hampstead School Board Chairman Greg Hoppa. “As the current assistant principal of operations (at) Timberlane, Maria’s responsibilities include all aspects associated with communication and public relations, facilities, finance, food service, personnel, student attendance, transportation and staff evaluations.”
Di Nola has degrees from the University of New Hampshire (education specialist in educational administration and supervision), Boston University (Master of Music) and University of Iowa (Bachelor of Music).
Di Nola began her educational career as a music teacher in Manchester for 17 years. She also served as an administration intern in that district before coming to Timberlane Regional High School as an assistant principal in 2006.
Hoppa said Di Nola can be congratulated for her role and contributions at Timberlane, including receiving the 2014 New Hampshire High School of Excellence award.
“These experiences, coupled with her extensive work in implementing Freshman Academy, a middle to high school transitioning program at Timberlane, make her uniquely qualified for our middle school,” said Hoppa. “The board expects her leadership experience and her commitment to education will both complement and produce even greater successes at the Hampstead Middle School as well as the district as a whole.”
