I-293 lane closures expected for next 2 weeks in Manchester
MANCHESTER — Portions of Interstate 293 near exit 4 will be closed at night for about two weeks, according to the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
The work, part of widening and bridge replacement project around exit 4, includes adding a third southbound lane for about a half mile, reconstruction of the exit 4 ramps, sound wall construction, drainage improvements, water line reconstruction, installation of a concrete median barrier and improvements to guardrails.
Construction is scheduled to begin Tuesday and be finished by June 7. Work will be done at night, from 7 p.m. through 6 a.m., and one lane of each side of the interstate will be open through construction, the DOT said in a release.
