Manchester airport to get $1.8 million in federal grants
MANCHESTER — The Manchester-Boston Regional Airport will receive $1.8 million in federal grants, according to a release from U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, D-N.H.
“Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is a vital component of Manchester’s economy and an important transportation resource for the entire state,” Shea-Porter said in a statement. “This federal funding will allow the airport to maintain its facilities and continue to be an example of efficiency and safety for the entire region.”
The money will pay for repairs to 1,000 feet of taxiway, the rehabilitation of the terminal building’s heating and ventilation system and to replace the terminal’s roof.
