CONCORD – Democrat Jennifer Daler of Temple said Thursday she will seek the District 5 Executive Council seat being vacated by Debora Pignatelli.
“I was saddened to hear of the retirement of Councilor Pignatelli, who did a fabulous job representing the people of District 5,” Daler said. “Since her announcement, I have been approached by people in the district to run for Executive Council.”
Daler said it is very important to continue Pignatelli's commitment to bring commuter rail to Nashua, ensuring continued excellence of the New Hampshire Judiciary, carefully reviewing state contracts for maximum value, and advocating for people, especially the most vulnerable.
“I believe I am the candidate who will continue her work on these and other issues,” Daler said.
Daler is a mother of three, wife, graduate student and community volunteer who lives in Temple. She served in New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2006-2008 and from 2011-2012.
She is a trustee of the Congregational Church of Temple, a member of the Souhegan Lions Club and a member of the Temple Drama Club.
Former councilor David Wheeler, R-Milford, and former Rep. Stephen Stepanek, R-Milford, have said they will seek the seat as well.
