Stratham middle school student charged for bringing loaded gun to school

STRATHAM — Police have charged a Cooperative Middle School student for bringing a loaded gun to school.

The incident occurred on April 29 at Cooperative Middle School, which is part of the SAU 16 school district and is located at 100 Academic Way.

The juvenile was charged with reckless conduct, a class A felony, and carrying a firearm without a permit, a class A misdemeanor. Police say there’s no indication the student brought the gun to school to intentionally hurt anyone.
