MANCHESTER - A Dorchester, Mass., man, convicted of shooting a Manchester man in the face last year, was sentenced Thursday in Hillsborough County Superior Court to 30 years to life in prison, according to a release from Hillsborough County Attorney Patricia LaFrance.
Richard Scott, 34, was found guilty April 10 of attempted murder in the July 26, 2013, shooting of Terrance Jackson at his 145 Orange St. apartment.
Jackson had told detectives that he and Scott were arguing over a debt and that Scott drew a handgun, said "take this" and shot him.
Jackson suffered a broken jaw when the bullet went through his chin and into his collarbone.
