Tot roams Rochester while mom sleeps, police say

ROCHESTER -- A 26-year-old mother is charged with endangering the welfare of a child after her young daughter was found roaming alone on city streets.

The 3-year-old, who was wandering around Dora Drive about 5 p.m. Monday, told police her mother was sleeping and she was unable to wake her up.

Police determined the child lived at 7B Dora Drive. They went there, found the mother Natasha Nailor, 26, who had been sleeping, and arrested her.

Capt. Paul Toussaint said Nailor's daughter was released to the custody of another relative.

Nailor is free on $2,500 personal recognizance bail with an arraignment date of July 7 in 7th Circuit Court, Rochester 's District Division.
