Bomb threat clears Derry CVS

DERRY — Derry police were called to CVS Pharmacy for a report of a bomb threat Wednesday night.

A number of officers responded about 6:40 p.m. to evacuate the store at 48 E. Broadway. A cruiser was positioned to block the drive-thru entrance off East Broadway as other cruisers lined the parking lot. Customers milled around on the edge of the lot near Dunkin’ Donuts as they waited.

About 30 minutes later, police said the threat proved unfounded and the store reopened to customers.
