Police cruiser involved in accident with motorcycle in Concord

A city police cruiser was involved in an accident with a motorcycle in front of the O restaurant on Main Street Friday night, Lt. John Thomas said.

Thomas said the officer pulled out onto Main Street about 9:30 p.m. Friday to pull over a motorist heading in the opposite direction when a motorcyclist, whose name was not available, near the cruiser “dumped” his motorcycle. No contact was made, he said.

Thomas said the circumstances of the accident are under investigation and he would not release the name of the officer involved.
