Motorcyclist suffers minor injuries after being hit by car in Manchester

MANCHESTER — A “lucky” motorcyclist escaped an accident Friday night with minor leg injuries after being hit by a car on Candia Road, according to firefighters at the scene.

Brian O’Connor was heading west on Candia Road about 9:30 p.m. Friday when Brian Comerford, who was pulling into the Wendy’s restaurant, didn’t see him coming and hit his motorcycle, Comerford said.

“I saw him at the last second and we hit each other,” Comerford said. “Obviously, one little mistake and something bad happens.”

Firefighters said O’Connor, who was not wearing a helmet, was “lucky” to have suffered only a broken leg. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Comerford, who appeared shaken up shortly after the accident, said he felt badly that the crash happened.

“I’m just and distraught,” he said. “I feel for the person who is in the hospital.”

Christie is the real deal

We have found Gov. Chris Christie to be the most consistent, the most confident in his abilities, the most tested under fire, and the most likely to regain the White House from a disastrous Democratic regime.
