Pitcher Cote, Betterforms roll along in Manchester East Little League action

Bryce Cote won his third game in a row, pitching Betterforms to a 10-4 victory over Hanover Hill Health Care in recent Manchester East Little League action.

Cote fanned seven in 4 1/3 innings of work, allowing only one run. At the plate, Catherine Jones (two hits, run) and Sean Kelly (double, triple, two runs, two RBIs), Andrew Canotas (two hits, three runs), Robbie Labarre (two hits, run, two solid relief innings) and Dylan Schuff (two hits, run) led Betterforms.

For Hanover Hill, Luke Gramatikas had three hits and two runs scored. Jakob Prive collected two hits and a run.Billy’s Sports Bar and Grill 8, Provencher 5: In interleague play, Billy’s of Manchester East scored six runs in the sixth inning to pull away from Provencher of Manchester South. McKenna Gladysz knocked in four runs for Billy’s, while Jack Fitzgerald contributed a single and triple in the final-inning surge.

Relief pitcher Colin Freitas came on in the second inning to limit Provencher to five hits and five runs, with seven strikeouts. Aiden Martin held Billy’s in check and added three hits.

MELL car wash

Manchester East Little League is holding its annual “Battle of the teams” car wash fund-raiser on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the MELL clubhouse parking lot, 313 Tarrytown Road.

The participating teams are as follows:

• 9 a.m.: Hanover Hill Health Care, Goldenrod Drive-In, Quirk Auto Dealers, Beat the Odds, Modell’s

• 10 a.m.: Julien Richards Oil, Elliot Health Systems, Beez Electric, Chill Day Spa, Indian Head Athletics

• 11 a.m.: Betterforms, Trombly Plumbing, Heating, and Electric, Cabinets For Less, Triangle Credit Union, Bonneville & Son

• Noon: Billy’s Sports Bar and Grill, Giant Landscaping, Bentley Towing, Chad’s Auto Body, East Side Club

Hooksett softball

The Orthopedic Center 10U softball team defeat Goffstown Caleb Ridge Farm, 11-7. Ally Gowern drove in multiple runs for Hooksett. Alexis Jennings and Brittany Firmes starred defensively and Audrey Lidster pitched well. Scoring runs for Hooksett were Makenna True, Molly Evans and Jozlyn Piwowarczyk.
