BB gun damage probed in Nashua, Hudson, Hooksett

Police in several New Hampshire communities are investigating reports of car windows being shot out over the weekend.

More than 65 car owners in Nashua and Hudson reported windows shot out on their vehicles overnight Friday into Saturday, while three cars parked at Dubes Pond in Hooksett had windows shot out early Sunday.

Car owners in Hudson and Nashua called police Saturday to report they awoke to find their cars damaged by BB guns. More than 50 cars had windshields and doors damaged. Nashua police say the shooting spree was carried out in parking lots outside various condo complexes off Route 101A and Spit Brook Road.

Nashua police said they believe a dark-colored vehicle with a spoiler and loud exhaust may have been involved in the incident.

Nothing was reported stolen from the damaged vehicles.

Hudson police reported six more vehicles damaged by a BB gun in their community over the same time frame.

In Hooksett, police said three cars parked at Dubes Pond had their windows shot out.

Police say three people camping at the pond left a Ford Fusion, a Chevy pickup truck and a Subaru Outback in a parking area along Whitehall Road. A resident nearby reported to police hearing gunshots around 2 a.m. Sunday.

Police said early indications are that the windows were shot out with a .22-caliber gun.

Anyone with information in the Hooksett case is asked to call police at 624-1560.
