Manchester police investigate stabbing of woman, 19


MANCHESTER — A woman suffered stab wounds early Monday morning in a fight at Union and Grove streets.

The 19-year-old Manchester woman, whose name has not been released by police, was taken by ambulance to the Elliot Hospital where she was treated for serious but not life-threatening lacerations to her abdomen, side and thigh according to police.

The incident occurred about 2:30 a.m. Officers identified a number of people involved in the altercation, but the investigation is continuing to identify the assailant and the circumstances leading up to the assault, police said.
